The Best of 2020 Studio Newborn Sessions | Annapolis Newborn Photographer
Well, 2020 was a year for the books, wasn’t it?
Despite it all, 2020 WAS a year for my books as well. We made some incredible art for some incredible families. The studio was the perfect place to make this magic - it gave us every opportunity to provide a safe, sanitized, appointment-only space to fill with your authentic moments, captured for a lifetime.

I would be here all day if I tried to mention all of my favorites from this year! So, here it is, just a few of the images that touched my heart.
Thanks to the pandemic, we were forced to work with some crazy schedules. In the end, that meant doing sessions with newborns who were slightly older than normal. How cool was that? SO COOL. An older newborn often has better eye contact, which leads to a more visible connection with Mom and Dad.
Families grew in 2020, and I got to see some old favorites with some new additions. Babies I once saw for their newborn sessions came in to show off their new big brothering and big sistering skills.
I guess consistency is now my middle name because LOOK AT THIS. We didn’t even realize this until Mom went home and looked at their older son’s newborn photos, but not only did she birth twins 3 years apart, we also took the exact same photo twice. (Top 2020, Bottom 2017.)
Mom definitely wasn’t overlooked in 2020. The studio, with it’s gorgeous light, privacy, and protection from the elements allowed us the freedom to show off those beautiful, growing bumps.
Speaking of Mom - Mom and Dad, this was a tough year on you. I can tell. Bringing life into the world during a pandemic is tough, and I can see it in your family connection. Parents are holding their babies tighter, they are loving a little harder, they are reveling in every detail. We captured that and so much more.
Sure, 2020 was tough. It was strange. It was one for the books. But let’s start writing those books with the stories of these amazing new lives <3 Here’s to the very best thing 2020 gave us.
